I just returned from Philly from attending the wonderful and very educational 10th Anniversary of the Portrait Society of America. About 700 portrait artist from around the globe gather each year for demonstrations, lectures, and networking to become better artist.  One of the highlights from the event was the wonderful Cecilia Beaux exhibit at a nearby museum.
Upon my return I get a call from Congresswoman Jean Schmidt's office and they have asked me to be a judge in the upcoming 2nd Congressional Art Competition. This is the 2nd year I have served as a judge for this great event for area high school art students.
